Step 12- Travel to meet, adopt & bring
home your child

Based on each country’s requirements, the adoption goes forward, and the adoptive parents travel to the child’s birth country, proceed with the court hearing, and the family returns home with the child.

If Russia is your child's birth country you will make 2 trips. On the first trip you will be in country between 5-6 days to preview your child. Then you return home, complete your dossier, and return for court approximately 4-12 weeks after submission of your dossier to the country. Your court trip is approximately 12 days for most regions.

If this is your preview trip, you will spend a day or two with your child, make your final approval and travel home to await court hearing.
