KAZAKHSTAN
Adoption Source is pleased to announce that we are accredited in Kazakhstan, which helps ensure a smooth and reliable process. Children are available throughout Kazakhstan and families will exit through the US Embassy in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
Infant girls and boys from 6 months of age and up are equally available. The children are of Caucasian as well as Asian descent. Children reside in maternity hospitals until they are 5 months old and then are moved to the baby home. Eligibility requirements for adoptive parents are very flexible.
“Invitation” to travel to Kazakhstan in typically received within 6 months after the submission of the dossier. Two trips are required with each trip about 2 weeks in length. On the first trip you will select a child in person and will spend the next two weeks bonding with your child. Upon the return there is about 3-4 week wait before you could go back to Kazakhstan to finalize your adoption. During your second trip you will go through the court proceedings and receive the documents necessary for your child to enter US.
While in Kazakhstan families are met and accompanied throughout their entire stay by our bilingual coordinator. Our Kazakhstan Program focuses on personalized attention to our families to ensure success in their adoption. We have established strong working relationships with the officials and the orphanage directors in Kazakhstan which makes our program one of the most reliable.
